We really appreciate them taking the time and effort to come in to the school to perform for us.” This performance was accompanied by Drum solos and the dancers performing the much loved Highland Fling.įiona Shearer, Head Teacher, Raigmore Primary School said: “What a fantastic performance the 3Scots Pipes and Drums gave at our talent concert. ![]() It includes a selection of music ranging from the traditional sound of The Atholl Highlanders, Scotland the Brave, Black Bear and Heilan' Laddie to the more modern sound of Sleepy Maggie and The Bells of Dunblane. The programme that the Pipes and Drums performed was a special preview of their upcoming 3 month tour performance of the USA which is running from 9 Jan – 28 Mar 13. Introduced by the Pipe President Major Christie Broadbent but Lead by Pipe Major Richard Grisdale and Drum Major Michael David McLaughlin QGM, the Pipers, Drummers and Highland Dancers of this very proud regiment performed to a large audience of children and their parents led by the Head Teacher, Fiona Shearer, at “Raigmore’s Got Talent” Christmas talent competition. Raigmore Primary School’s Christmas Talent show got off to a flying start on Thursday 13 December when the Pipes and Drums of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Scotland based at Fort George opened the evening event. ![]()
